Carrington Ridge Prepares for Annual ThanksGIVING Event

Each Thanksgiving we count our blessings and are aware of the less fortunate. The “Carrington Ridge Fry Boys” (Kevin Moran & John Decoteau) are looking to make another run at it this year. As a community we delivered 137 fried turkeys to local homeless and battered women’s shelters. We are looking to do 150+ this year and looks like there is plenty of need. We are adding some corporate sponsors and will highlight them as we go. We were featured in this weeks Lake Norman Citizen and have already received a donation of 30 gallons of Peanut Oil from Louanna Oil.

Below is a list of items that are commonly donated. There is no donation too big or too small.  If we all give together, we can make a huge impact. Any of the following would help:Items Needed:
10-12 lb THAWED Turkey(s)
Peanut Oil
Large Foil Pans (disposable)
Tin Foil
Turkey Fryers ( we have 6 accounted for so far and could use another 5-7)
Non-Perishable food itemsWe coordinate with the shelters the 1st week of November to let them know what we will deliver. If you have the ability to donate, please let me know so I can properly coordinate with the shelters. Also, if you know of anyone that needs help, please pass along their information to me as we make personal home deliveries if needed.

We need help on Thanksgiving morning. Kevin and I will be at the Pavilion at 4AM or sooner to fry turkeys.  We could also use volunteers to help Boy Scout Troop 777 deliver the meals to the shelters.

The event is right around the corner,  if you can donate in any way please email me at

decoteau1@yahoo.com or call 704-909-9278. Thanks as always for the support!
