Are You “Sleeping Around” Material?

Sometimes headlines just beg to be written. Simply because you know they’ll cause the reader to wonder what the heck comes next. Believe me, I’m not going to miss any opportunity to generate readership!

So the story is a good one. It seems that our area, popular for its quality of life, its destinations, the lakes, green space and more, is also about to become popular for a movie shoot.  This month, a situation comedy film, directed by Leslie Greif, will be shot in the Lake Norman area.  In fact, this Monday, July 18th, will be an Extras Casting Call at Birkdale Village in Huntersville from 3 – 7 p.m.

The movie is titled, “Sleeping Around”.  It is billed as being a comedy “with a hip, funny dialogue…set at a beach house in the Hamptons, immersed in the wacky social world of the rich and playful.”

The casting agency will be looking for men and women ages 18 and over are needed as Party goers, Wedding Guests, and more, with everal featured roles for men and women.  Additionally, lots of college ages males and females, and specialty acts will be needed.

Filming actually will begin July 27th and should run through September 3.  For more details on the casting aspect, check the Birkdale Village website.

For businesses, start thinking about your customer service and how you are going to “wow” the filmmakers as they are in our area.  You sure don’t want to be caught “sleeping” during an opportunity like this!
