“Bump” up sales, “Set” new records, “Spike” the competition….

I’m sure you all have, at one time or another, sat in one of those bean bag chairs….  Did you know that the “beans” are actually little foam pellets?  When you get a hole in the beanbag, those darn pellets go just about everywhere and it is impossible to put them back.

Where am I going with this analogy?  Well, here’s the deal:  This weekend, close to three hundred of our area girls will be playing in the Huntersville Parks and Rec volleyball tournament. The culmination of a spring season is this weekend and families will swarm to the local gyms to watch their daughters, friends, neighbors play volleyball. While they are in the gyms, they are a captive audience, but once their games are over, these volleyball fans are like the beanbag pellets — they are gone.

Do the math: If there are three hundred girls playing this weekend, how many additional people will be watching and attending the games?  If your business has something to offer this audience, call Pam Royal at Parks and Rec (704-766-2220) and offer coupons, special deals, flyers or giveaways. Or, put signage in your windows — “free ice cream for volleyball players”, “Go Huntersville volleyball girls!”– and use your own creativity.

Or simply ask a young girl in a volleyball uniform how her games went — you’ll make an impression.  It’s the “net” results you are after, right?
